How long is the decoration season?
We will show you how to create a 100 day window to install and remove decorations. Since most lighting decorations are almost unnoticeable during the day, customers will allow you to install these early in the year. Less time consuming installations of greenery and bows can be done at a later time.

Is This Service Hard to Sell?

Christmas Decor is one of the easiest things to sell because this is something people really want to buy. Our simple bidding process walks your through the sales presentation step by step; that makes this a fun soft sell.

Who buys this service?

The residential market is the fastest growing and the quickest sale to turn. Upper-middle income homes and growing neighborhoods are your best prospects, while your wealthiest homeowners always offer good possibilities. Commercial work provides great income opportunities but will take longer to sell as many of them must budget the funds.

What about Account Retention?

If a customer hired you to install their Christmas Decor they will probably use you again. With our special mapping system, you will be the only one who knows how to correctly install the decorations. A 90% or higher retention rate is expected.

Start up Costs/Working Capital?

This is one of the least expensive businesses to get into because costly equipment is seldom required. For each full service installation crew we estimate ladders and tools at $750-$950, and a start up inventory of $3,000-$5,000. Each additional crew will have about the same cost in ladders and tools, but inventory should be increased about $2,000 per crew.

Do I have a Protected Area?

Residential markets are set up as geographically protected territories. Your franchise fee may be based in part on the size of the territory you request. Commercial markets are not protected because chain store owners and property management companies may have locations in several territories and only want to do business with one company.

Where Do I Buy Supplies?

Most supply items such as nails, staples, tape and tools may be purchased locally. Christmas Decor has negotiated below wholesale prices from a variety of national vendors for decorations, extension cords and fasteners. Many of these items are available directly from ACLS.

Do I Need A Bucket Truck?

No. We will teach you how to light higher areas without the use of a bucket truck. We will give you several decorating alternatives to extremely high tree lighting. On rare occasions, usually commercial applications, a bucket truck can be beneficial.

What about insurance?

If Christmas Decor is an addition to your current business, insurance rates will be comparable to what you are already paying. New start up business should consult their insurance agent.

Do I have to be an electrician?

No. You will learn a variety of ways to find and use power sources available. On commercial jobs and rarely on residential orders, you may need to have an electrician install additional power. This is very easy to accomplish as most electricians are not busy during this time of year.

How about the economy?

Christmas is a season that people will spend money in almost any economy. This may be the only time of the year they can celebrate with family . We have seen very little effect over the years from local or national economic fluctuations.

Is there financing?
