On
November 5, 2007, the AALF formally presented their vision
to host an AAES to the AAET and its sponsorship was
unanimously approved. VIEW
PRESENTATION On December 4, 2007, a similar presentation was made to
LISD where its sponsorship was also approved.
To this end, the
AALF has unified the three-prong partnership of the TTUS,
LISD and AALF. In sum, approximately 45 stakeholder
organizations from
Lubbock
and throughout West Texas are in support of the first ever
summit dedicated to addressing the issue of education as
it relates specifically to African Americans residing in
this region.
